Leah Remini filming series about leaving Scientology

Scientology’s disconnection policy will be the subject of Leah Remini‘s new series.

According to The Underground Bunker, the actress is producing a show about the church’s disconnection policy, in which Scientologists cut ties with family and/or friends who are antagonistic toward the organization.

While Remini’s show is currently in production, the Scientology news site also reported another series is in the works for an unnamed network.

Remini, 46, practiced Scientology for 30 years, having been brought to the church by her mother at a young age. She left the organization for good in 2013. The former “King of Queens” star has since penned a memoir, “Troublemaker,” and has spoken out about leaving Scientology behind.

“Our decision to leave the organization — it’s not just something you get over,” she revealed on Oprah Winfrey’s “Where Are They Now” last summer. “It’s people and a lifestyle you’ve known all your life.”

Reps for Remini did not immediately return our request for comment, nor did the Church of Scientology.
