The fourth edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will kick start on Wednesday (June 29) at the Queen's Park Oval. Hosts and defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders, led by Dwayne Bravo, will be up against Darren Sammy's St Lucia Zouks. The tournament will feature 34 games played across seven venues in a window of 40 days. The matches will be played on a home and away basis, with each team scheduled to play ten games in the league stage, including two games each at a neutral venue - the Lauderhill stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Below are some important numbers from the first three editions of Caribbean Premier League.

Summary of first three seasons of CPL:

Barbados Tridents have been the most successful team across the three editions of CPL, winning the title in 2014 and ending as league toppers in the last two seasons. Guyana Amazon Warriors finished in the top two in the league stages of each of the three editions and were runners up in the first two seasons; but a title has eluded them so far. Jamaica Tallawahs were the inaugural champions of CPL, but finished fourth in the subsequent seasons. The defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders (earlier called Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel) missed out in the first two years, ending up on the losing side in the semi-finals in successive years. However, they went on to win three consecutive knockout games in 2015 to lift the title. St. Lucia Zouks, Antigua Hawksbills and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots are yet to go beyond the league stage and will be hoping for a revival of fortunes this year.
