Mobile Website: Research-Alumni KIT

KIT wishes to further enhance exchange with former international guest scientists. Now, they can comfortably access important information from KIT from outside: With the support of the Steinbuch Centre for Computing and the former Public Relations and Marketing (PKM) Service Unit, the International Scholars and Welcome Office (IScO) has developed a mobile website.

The Research-Alumni KIT app comprises a job market, news, publications, campus maps, and a calendar of events. In addition, the mobile website offers news on activities for researcher alumni of KIT and on funding options for a research stay in Karlsruhe. Moreover, interested persons will find information on campus life, on life in Karlsruhe or in Germany. “Researcher alumni are ambassadors of KIT,” IScO Head Dr. Petra Roth says. “Here, they can benefit from special offers and exclusive access to KIT’s knowledge network, now even on their mobiles.”

The website can be called up on all smartphones or tablets irrespective of the software used (IOS, Android, Windows, etc.). When starting the website for the first time, users can download an icon in KIT design on their home screen.
