Upcoming Aprilia SR 150 Scooter: Exclusive Details & Photos Revealed
Aprilia's new SR 150 has been spotted near ARAI's facility in Chakan, Pune. The SR 150 is expected to debut in India this year.
Aprilia first showcased the SR 150 at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The SR 150 will be Aprilia's second scooter to launch in the Indian market, after the SRV 850 ABS.
The SR 150 will be manufactured at Piaggio's facility in Baramati, Maharashtra. This makes the new "sport-scooterbike" the first product to be produced in India with the Italian manufacturer's badge.
The domestic production promises a relatively affordable price tag for the Aprilia SR 150.
The SR 150 will be powered by a 150cc air-cooled engine that powers the Vespa 150. The engine is good to produce 11.4bhp at 7000 rpm, and peak torque of 11.5Nm at 5500 rpm.
Once launched, the Aprilia SR 150 is expected to be priced around Rs. 80,000 - 1 lakh ex-showroom.
