Alva's Pragati job fair on July 2, 3

Mangaluru: Alva's Pragati 2016, the two-day job fair organized by Alva's Education Foundation is all set to open doors of employment for graduates who are in demand in all sectors. The eighth edition of this annual event has so far seen 350-odd companies confirm their participation, against the Foundation's target of 400 companies. The organisers are specifically focusing on the IT sector with special emphasis on Mangaluru based start-ups and IT companies.
Vivek M Alva, managing trustee of the foundation, giving update on the event which is starting from July 2 said that the candidates who have registered for the event will get all updates on www.alvaspragati.com. Those who have registered online and downloaded the event app will get the latest news pertaining to their areas of interest based on their qualification, he said.
Observing that ITI/diploma candidates of all trades have maximum core domain openings in the manufacturing sector, Vivek said the foundation has received a surprisingly high 1,725 registrations from them. "We have arranged buses to bring these candidates from their respective institutions," he said.
Candidates who have not registered online may do so on July 2 from 8am.
