Trader robbed of 46 lakh in Sehore district

Bhopal: A Sagar trader was robbed of Rs46 lakh, in Ashta town of Sehore district on Monday morning.
Naresh Agarwal was travelling on a bus and going from Sagar to Indore. When bus reached Astha town at around 6 am, Agarwal went to the washroom leaving his bag with the money on his seat, police said.
However, upon returning, he saw someone running away with the bag.
He gave a chase but accused pushed him. The robber then sat in a car that was parked at a distance. When Agarwal tried to get hold of the man, the accused kicked him away, said police citing his complaint.
"In his initial complaint, he said that he was carrying around Rs4-5 lakh in the bag. He claimed that the money was of several Sagar traders and it was meant for making payments in Indore. Later, when other Sagar traders arrived, they calculated the missing amount was Rs46 lakh," additional SP, Sehore, AP Singh told TOI.
He added, "Agarwal also said in his complaint that there were two people who made off with his bag containing the cash. We have sent police teams to various locations and launched a hunt to nab the accused."
