Lucknow: In a joint statement Lucknow district magistrate Raj Shekhar and senior superintendent of police Manzil Saini have described `intelligence inputs' of a terror attack on a city school as `not credible'.
However, they said, police and concerned agencies are investigating further for necessary action. "Still the district administration and police is tacking all possible necessary steps to ensure safety and security along with smooth working of the schools.
We are in constant touch with the school management and the security agencies. We appeal to public not to panic, but be alert and vigilant and in touch with local police and administrative officials for any observation and inputs in this regard. Schools will remain open as per the prescribed timings," they said.
The statement was issued following news reports that central agencies have issued an alert of a possible terror strike at a city school.
