Whilst he had a good partner last week, John Inder must be regarded as the "man of the moment" in the Kempsey Veterans Golf Club circles. Winning the coveted Monthly Medal with a sparkling 6under 50 nett seven days prior, Inder, a left hander, was at it again to make it a somewhat rare back to back all up double.

Teeing off with Robert Johnston alongside in the 4BBB and Individual Stableford, Inder was the standout, so to speak, in their round that climaxed with a 36 point winning scoreline. You see he, himself, amassed 31 of the duo's combined total, Johnno getting his name on the card on just a few occasions.
Alan Macdonald, back after a holiday over Canada and beyond was in fine form courtesy of the short spell, to lead the fastly depreciating A-grade field with 31 points, too. All eyes will be on Inder today as to whether he can make it a hattrick, but facing 18 holes may be a worry. We'll soon know if he's a sprinter or a stayer, eh!
Spare a thought for Marinus Tapper and Wayne Simmons who only lost when the countback rule was applied. A new Srixon to a $20 voucher is some reward I suppose. Other new ball winners were Macdonald and Allen Doyle (35), Michael Brady and Graham Irving (35) and Robert Dykes and Max Gleeson (32). Nearest the pin at the third hole were Tapper (A) and Jack Tolman (B), the 11th hole awards going to Macdonald (A) and John Terlich (B). Chipins were enacted by John Bowell and Dennis O 'Brien.
President Alan (Macdonald) was back on stage to open his presentation piece by offering David Tolman another happy birthday. He also offered many thanks to Graham Martin and Inder for their cooking duties. It is true that the latter was far too busy in the kitchen to receive his medal.
Our president offered thanks to the Social Club for giving up their Tuesday morning round to
play on Monday (yesterday) and yes, we all are grateful for their generosity.
