Admission begins for MBBS, BDS in Annamalai University

Counselling schedule will be available by July 1

Annamalai University had invited applications for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. Nearly 150 seats were allotted for MBBS and 80 seats for BDS.

In total, 4,906 applications have been received for MBBS and 1,079 applications for BDS. Of this, 276 applications for MBBS were rejected and 52 for BDS.

Random number has been assigned to the applicants for MBBS and BDS by Vice-Chancellor S. Manian on June 27.

Candidates can check their random numbers on the university website –www. annamalaiuniversity.ac.in.

Counselling date will be announced later and informed to the candidates. Admission will be made only on the basis of merit by following the rule of reservation of Government of Tamil Nadu. Nearly 3 per cent of the total seats available are reserved for the differently abled persons.

The merit list will be drawn based on the marks obtained by the candidates in relevant subjects in H.S.C or equivalent examinations. Eligible candidates can attend the counselling by downloading the call letters from the university website. Counselling schedule will be available by July 1 and posted on the university website. Further, no call letter on counselling will be sent to the candidates.

Graduation Day at CK College

The Graduation Day for undergraduate and post graduate students was held in the CK College of Engineering and Technology. College principal, Arun. V. Parwate, welcomed the gathering and presented the graduation report.

Chief Guest Murugavel Janaki Raman, Founder and CEO, Bharath Matrimony Group, delivered the graduation address and congratulated the students and motivated them for a successful career. Five Anna University Rank holders were honoured, 255 undergraduate students and 51 post graduate students received their degree certificates.

C.K. Renganathan, Chairman and Managing Director, CavinKare Private Limited, presided over the function and gave the presidential address. He insisted on the students to have good attitude in order to become professional engineers and managers.

D. Chandrasekaran, Director, CK Group of Educational institutions and T.D. Mohan, Joint Managing Director, CavinKare Private Limited delivered the felicitation address.

C.K. Ashok Kumar and R. Amudhavalli, Trustees of Jayaram Educational Trust, graced the ceremony with felicitation address. Mr. Parwate administered the pledge towards the end of the graduation day ceremony..
