Physical test for the recruitment of stipendiary cadet trainee sub-inspector of police in Civil, Armed Reserve, Telangana State Special Police, Special Police Force, Fire Services etc got off to a smooth start at the district police training centre (DPTC) here on Monday.
In the first phase, 600 candidates were allowed in at 5 am and in the second phase another 600 candidates.
Elaborate arrangements
The Karimnagar district police made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of physical test. The authorities have installed the CCTV cameras at all the verification centres and physical test events to ensure transparency. Superintendent of Police D Joel Davis was personally supervising the recruitment process.
The process got delayed due to online verification and bio-metric system of the candidates to participate in the physical tests. The tests were being carried out till late evening.
897 attend in Khammam
Khammam Staff Reporter adds: Around 897 candidates appeared for physical efficiency tests which began here on Monday as part of the selection process for recruitment to the posts of stipendiary cadet trainee sub-inspector of police (men and women) in the State police department.
The stipulated physical efficiency tests were conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Shahnawaz Qasim on the premises of the police parade grounds here.
The eligible candidates, who had cleared the preliminary written test held more than two months ago, were allowed to participate in the physical efficiency tests after a through verification of their biometric data and scrutiny of relevant certificates, sources said. According to sources, the entire process was video recorded in a transparent manner.
The authorities concerned have made requisite arrangements to conduct physical efficiency tests for 1200 candidates each day.
