Kavalam's funeral to be held at 4.30 pm on Tuesday on the premises of Sreehari

ALAPPUZHA: All the arrangements have been made for the funeral of late Malayalam theatre veteran Kavalam Narayana Panicker. His final rites will be held on the premise of his home `Sreehari’ at Kavalam at 4.30 pm with full state honours on Tuesday.
His body will be brought to his ancestral home Chalayil at 7 am and will be placed for public and his villagers to pay their last respects to the legendary playwright.
In the afternoon, his body will be taken to his home `Sreehari ‘ accompanied by a mourning procession. The disciples and children of Kurunnukottam (a vacation camp for giving training on plays and various art) will recite the poems of the legendary writer. Various pictures related to the life of Kavalam will also be exhibited on Tuesday.
The funeral place of Kavalam has been arranged next to the final resting place of his elder son Sreehari. Sreehari died in October, 2009.
