In an spectacular performance in two-wheeler segment, Honda Activa has outshines Hero Splendor by clocking a sales figure of 2,37,317 against the latter’s 2,07,010 units in May, 2016. Hero Splendor was top selling two-wheeler in May last year followed by Honda Activa and Hero Passion.
Hero sold 2,41,249 units of Splendor in May last year while Honda managed to sell 1,87,827 units of Activa followed by Hero Passion (1,04,054 units).
The other two-wheelers which made to the top 10 list are Hero HF Delux (1,12,273), Hero Passion (97,882), TVS XL Super (75,406), Hero Glamour (74,590), Honda CB Shine (56,818), Bajaj CT (51,893), Bajaj Pulsar (46,307) and TVS Jupiter (43,867).
While, the Activa topped most sold two-wheelers list dethroning Splendor, the latter has retained the top position in top 10 motorcycle models sold in May, 2016. Hero Splendor (2,07,010) is at the top followed by HF Deluxe (112,273), Passion (97,882), Glamour (74,590), CB Shine (56,818), CT (51,893), Pulsar (46,307), V 15 (31,848), Classic 350 (28,620) and Dream (27,980).
The Bajaj V 15 is quick enough to make its space in top 10 most selling bikes with 31,848 leaving behind Apache and Platina.
In the most selling scooter segment, Honda Activa appears to outsmart its competitors as it holds top slot with 2,37,317 units sold in May this year, much ahead than other brands and almost 50,000 up as compared to May, 2015 when it sold (1,87,827). The second spot is occupied by Jupiter (43,867 units) followed by Hero Duet (33,304), Maestro (25,589), Access (19,390), Fascino (18,500), Dio (17,099), Ray (11,591), Aviator (9,591) and Pep + (9,137).
