Bloomfield's own NiCori Studios and Productions headed by Founding Artistic Director, Corinna Sowers Adler and Executive Director, Nicholas Adler has been asked to Co-Produce at the Westminster Arts Center @ Bloomfield College beginning in December of 2016.

The intimate proscenium theatre with seating for 300 inside a turn-of-the-century brownstone church is the ideal setting for the full schedule of productions which include Educational Theatre programming, Cabaret Performances, Special Guest Artists, Singer/Songwriter events, and Musical Productions.

The partnership will begin with a Gala Concert on December 16, 2016. The Gala Concert will be open to the public and include a post reception option at Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center, where NiCori Studios and Productions is based. The first production set for January, 2017, will be James and the Giant Peach, based on the novel by the same name by Roald Dahl with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

NiCori Studios and Productions has been in Bloomfield since 2008 and, in addition to NJ based productions, has also produced the Off-Broadway show "Music and Lyrics By Her" at the Triad Theater, "Shows Ta Go Ya" at the Metropolitan Room and two annual "NiCori Youth Showcases" at the Metropolitan Room in New York City.

Monthly, productions have included the MAC nominated "Music at the Mansion" series at Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center which just celebrated its five year anniversary. NiCori has also partnered with the Irvington Town Hall Theater to produce the "Cabaret on the Hudson" series for the past two years.

NiCori Artistic Director, Corinna Sowers Adler has been nominated for the past two years for the Excellence in Theater Education Tony Award. She is a professional singer/actress who has sung on both the Rose Theater and The Appel Room stages at Lincoln Center as well as performed her solo cabaret shows at many top New York City spaces including Feinstein's/54 Below.

As an instructor and Artistic Director, Corinna created and grew several theatre programs for children and teens in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey including a diversity program entitled "Co-Exist" which was hired by Pfizer as part of an annual diversity week at the company. Corinna has directed over 500 productions ranging from Children's Theater to solo cabaret artists to professional full shows at regional, summer stock and Off-Broadway houses.

"I can't be more thrilled to partner with Westminster," stated Ms. Sowers Adler, "Traci and her team create a professional environment and a high level of commitment to each and every production in which they are involved."

"Finding the perfect midsized arts center to Coproduce with has been a goal of ours for a couple of years now." Mr. Adler exclaims, "We are very excited to have laid down roots in Bloomfield with places like Oakeside and Westminster. Both spaces allow our company to be able to create and nurture tomorrow's talent."

Executive Director, Nicholas Adler has produced several cabaret artists and Off-Broadway shows in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and New York City. He has been working at Jazz at Lincoln Center since 2008 and has been recently promoted to Associate House Manger.

The partnership will serve Bloomfield and the surrounding community by offering theater opportunities and performances for students and adults, utilizing the proximity and talent pool of New York City artists to present guest performances and workshops.

Theater Manager, Traci Ford says, "We here at WAC@BC are excited to include NiCori Studios and Productions to our growing family of arts partners. We are dedicated to offering the Bloomfield College campus and local community diverse artistic and performing arts fare, and this partnership goes a long way towards that end."
