Millie Mackintosh has revealed she was bullied as a teen.

Nowadays, the former Made In Chelsea star flaunts her figure online and is a style icon to many.

That wasn’t always the case, however.

Mille Mackintosh has opened up about being bullied as a teenager and said she struggled with being confident.

Millie (26) told The Telegraph’s Stella magazine how her time in boarding school as a teen wasn’t easy, but she learned to manage the bullies.

“I mean, what teenager does have a good time through their teens? You know, I got bullied. Not all the way through, at different points, and it was something I learned to deal with.”

“I just find it quite difficult. I had acne, I had braces. I was shy and didn’t feel comfortable in myself and it took a while to kind of figure myself out.”

“Girls can just be really mean. [It was] just the standard teasing and jibes and that sort of thing. I would just kind of laugh it off, that’s how I dealt with it. I think that’s still a good was to handle bullies now – to not listen to what they’re saying and brush it off. Laugh at it, but never rise to it.”

It seems that Millie has taken that advice and carried it on throughout her career, following her very public divorce from her husband of two years Professor Green earlier this year.

Since the split Millie has reunited with former flame Hugo Taylor, telling the magazine: “I’m great. He’s great. I’m happy, that’s all I can say.”

Since she left the reality TV series in 2013, the Quality Street heiress has gone on to create her own clothing line, which is the biggest selling brand on ASOS, following the site’s own-label.
