Separatist demand ban on liquor, warns against move to construct Sainik, Pandit colonies

Srinagar, Jun 27 (UNI) Demanding total ban on sale and consumption of liquor, chairmen of both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) said that they were against the religious sentiments of majority community in the Muslim majority state.
In a joint statement here this afternoon, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq and Mohammad Yaseen Malik also warned to launched a massive protests against any move to construct colonies for Sainiks and pundits in the valley.
They also appealed to people to pass a resolution favouring the peaceful solution to Kashmir and Palestian issues according to the wishes and aspiration of people.
