ZeroStack Launches zApp Store, Closing the Operations Gap for Private Cloud

One-click operations ensure that Users and Admins save time and money

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--ZeroStack, a one-stop shop for infrastructure that combines the consumption model of public cloud with the security needs of businesses, today announced its zApp Store, a new source of single-click, downloadable application templates for users of ZeroStack’s Z-Block Cloud Appliance.

ZeroStack is aiming to fix a broken private cloud model that requires a high level of IT expertise and expense. ZeroStack is now enabling single-click onboarding of workloads like Jenkins, Cassandra, Hadoop and Spark through its zApp Store. ZeroStack will continually add new applications to the zApp Store.

“Many private cloud projects leveraging OpenStack have failed to produce the desired outcomes, generating caution and disappointment in their wake,” said Brad Casemore, research director, datacenter networks at IDC. “Businesses need turnkey technology that models what we have seen in the consumer realm and in public cloud. ZeroStack is hoping to bring App Store thinking and something akin to an 'easy button' to private and hybrid-cloud deployments.”

“The private cloud model isn’t dead, it’s just broken,” said Steve Garrison, vice president of marketing at ZeroStack. “With the zApp Store, we’re once again showing our commitment to bridging the gap between public and private cloud.”
