Spain striker Nolito has not spoken to Barcelona or Manchester City yet

Nolito is focused on Euro 2016 with Spain and has insisted that he has not spoken to Manchester City or Barcelona yet.

The Celta Vigo striker found the back of the net 12 times in La Liga last season, and has been a key member of Spain's Euro campaign, even scoring in the 3-0 Group D win over Turkey.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to the two clubs but refused to be drawn into any discussions on his future, preferring to focus on the Round of 16 clash with Italy.

"I'm proud that two great coaches like [Barcelona boss] Luis Enrique and [Manchester City manager Pep] Guardiola are interested," he told La Vanguardia.

"I'm lucky that they have me in mind; it gives you a boost. But I'm focusing on the Euros and nothing else. I haven't spoken to either of them."

While City seem to be in the driving seat to secure Nolito's signature, the Spanish striker who has a €18 million (£13.8m) release clause has not ruled out a move to Barcelona, but wants to continue enjoying his first major international tournament before deciding on his club future.

"I'm enjoying it like a kid would and I'm not thinking about whether Barca will sign a forward," he added. "If Barcelona sign a striker then no problem. I congratulate them."

Should Nolito join City, he will be Guardiola's second major signing after Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan joined the Premier League giants for the £21 million at the start of June.
