Recently CIA warned that the world could anticipate further attacks by the Islamic State, particularly in Western countries. This is after reports that the militant group is training and attempting to deploy its recruits in target locations. I even heard about the idea of infiltrating refugees into western nations where they are being camped. This is just alarming. It seems that despite all the efforts and tactics to combat these militants, their numbers grow each day. Years back, I only heard about Islamic State destabilising Syria and Iraq, but now, it's like everywhere. It is believed that there are about 8,000 IS fighters in Libya. And in Nigeria, it is not only the Boko Haram group people are being scared about because the Islamic State is said to have penetrated some villages there as well. And then of course, I might have missed some but there's Pakistan, Afghanistan, and even the mention of Egypt and Turkey. The worst part is that these terrorists don't just target government soldiers, because if we weigh recent incidents across the world where killings are being linked to Islamic State... it show signs that the group can target just about anyone regardless of religion and affiliation. After the Orlando mass shooting, we heard the thoughts and opinions of US's presidential hopefuls... And as usual, they have their own promises on how to go about combating the group. It's nice to listen to their opposing agendas, but I guess it would be better if they the Republicans and Democrats just come together and abandon their political differences. This way, we could at least hope of a stronger force in defeating terrorism.
