‘Be fair and transparent’

The police should act in a transparent and unbiased manner during the recruitment tests for Sub-Inspectors, said City Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu.

Mr. Babu held a meeting with officials to review the arrangements made for the recruitment test to be held from June 27 to July 1 at J.N. stadium in Hanamkonda.

The preliminary test and physical tests would continue till July 1 at the stadium. As many as 5,129 candidates — 3,933 men and 1,129 women — would be appearing for the physical tests. They would be appearing for the 100 and 800-metre run, long jump, high jump, and shot put, among others. Every day, 1,200 candidates would be taking the physical tests from 5 a.m. The Commissioner urged personnel in-charge of the recruitment tests to be fair and transparent without giving any scope for controversy.
