Lok Satta seeks probe into T-Day awards

The Lok Satta Udyama Samstha Karimnagar district unit has asked the district administration to conduct an inquiry into the irregularities in the announcement and presentation of awards during the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2. Lok Satta district general secretary Prakash Holla, district leaders K.C. Reddy, R. Chandraprabhakar, Syed Muzaffar and others alleged that the eligible persons were denied awards following political pressures from the ruling party leaders during the Telangana Formation Day celebrations. In a press release they alleged that in some areas, the awards were announced to the persons secretly without the knowledge of awards committee.
