Most wanted criminal, aide held

JHAJJAR: The police have arrested most wanted criminal Lalit of Samchana village and with his accomplice Navin alias Doctor of Jassia village (Rohtak) from Sampla-Jhajjar road near Jondhi Rampura bus stop last night when they tied to loot a police car.

The police have arrested most wanted criminal Lalit of Samchana village and with his accomplice Navin alias Doctor of Jassia village (Rohtak) from Sampla-Jhajjar road near Jondhi Rampura bus stop last night when they tied to loot a police car.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Jashandeep Singh Randhava said Lalit was wanted in 14 cases of heinous crime registered in Delhi and Haryana. The Delhi Police had announced a cash reward of Rs 40,000 on the arrest of Lalit.

He said two Maruti Swift Dezire cars, two country-made pistols, a gun and 13 cartridges had been recovered from their possession.

“Nine cases of heinous crime are also registered against Navin. Both the accused demanded an extortion of Rs 20 lakh from a confectioner in Sampla town of Rohtak," said Randhava.
