Shah to arrive today for booth meetings

A day before BJP national president Amit Shah arrival in Lucknow to address the booth meetings of Awadh region at Barabanki, the party's state committee core members including UP in charge Om Mathur and former state BJP chiefs went into a huddle on Sunday to discuss future course of action for Vidhan Sabha elections in 2017.

Lucknow: A day before BJP national president Amit Shah arrival in Lucknow to address the booth meetings of Awadh region at Barabanki, the party's state committee core members including UP in charge Om Mathur and former state BJP chiefs went into a huddle on Sunday to discuss future course of action for Vidhan Sabha elections in 2017. Shah will arrive on Monday morning and would leave for Barabanki at 11am.

The committee members discussed poor law and order situation in the state and decided to corner Samajwadi Party government on the issue. Siscussion was also held on poor power scenario in UP, a member said.
It was decided that state office-bearers' meeting would be held on July 16-17 instead of July 9-10, as announced earlier due to commitments of leaders. UP BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said training camp at booth level would be completed between July 20 and 30.
