Inspired by a vision and her inner wisdom, Rachna Sharma (35) from Kishtwar left the conflict-ridden state in search of better prospects.

After leaving Kishtwar, she took up various amateur and professional jobs, but finally decided to come up with her own institution ‘The Rachna Sharma & Company’ at New Delhi. The institute trains youth in personality development and imbibing the spirit of peace and humanity in them so that they can face the corporate world.

“My district was a terrorism breeding ground that had stalled the development of the area, particularly of youth, which was depressing and distressing. After completing my schooling at ABN School, Kishtwar, I decided to move out with a vision to establish my dream of uniting the youth for peace and development,” said Rachna while talking to The Tribune.

Even the conflict could not break her conviction to educate people and achieve global success. With unrivalled passion, she is en route to helping people find a purpose in life, develop authentic leadership and promote peace around the globe.

Founder and Managing Director of the Rachna Sharma & Company, Rachna Sharma, a life strategist, speaker and a philanthropist, takes pride in being an entrepreneur who envisioned and founded ‘Vision 2021 — One Million Youth for Peace’.

“My mission is globally expanded and we have ambassadors from Pakistan also. Bollywood singer, actor and model Adil Chaudhary is one of them and is a frequent visitor to our institution. It gives me pride to be an entrepreneur and help in personality development of youth,” said Rachna.

Rachna Sharma has 14 years of corporate exposure and has worked with Taj Hotels, Imperial Hotel, Hilton Worldwide and Lebua Hotels and Resorts. She has also done a programme in public leadership development from Harvard Business School.

‘Vision 2021 — One Million Youth for Peace’ is an educational and humanitarian movement raising awareness about peace and purpose among youth,” she said.

Rachna often frequents her hometown in Kishtwar and has conducted many training camps for youth there.
