POLICE on the Carribean island of St. Kitts and Nevis say that US rapper 50 Cent and a member of his entourage were detained and charged for allegedly using “indecent language” during his performance at a music festival over the weekend.

Local police said in a statement overnight that 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, and entourage member Bajar Walter have been released on bail.

They have not been allowed to leave the Caribbean country pending a Monday morning court appearance.

Representatives for 50 Cent did not return messages overnight.

Employees at the police press office said they didn’t know what exact words were allegedly used during the Saturday night performance at the St. Kitts Music Festival.

TMZ is reporting the rapper was warned against using the word during his performance in front of 40,000 people.

The rapper yelled “motherf*****” into the microphone and that was enough to get him arrested.

Police reportedly showed up after the performance and took the rapper to the station, where he was arrested for using profanity in public.

The offence is reportedly minor, but the rapper has to stay in the area until Monday when he’ll go to court and pay a fine.
