Das invites Bihar students to Jharkhand for safe career
RANCHI: Mudslinging between chief ministers of Bihar and Jharkhand are reaching new height. A day before hosting Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar in connection with 22nd meeting of Eastern Zonal Council, scheduled in Ranchi on Monday, chief minister Raghubar Das took a dig on Bihar’s failure in checking corruption in education department. Expressing concern about future of meritorious students of Bihar, who have often fallen prey to corruption in the system, Das invited them to come to Jharkhand for higher education.
On the sidelines of flagging campaign vehicles for Digital India outreach programme, Das said that capability of any state and nation is linked with its talent potential and Jharkhand has proved its merit time and again.
“Economic prosperity depends upon the talent pool and Jharkhand has been successful in bagging attention of the centre in getting nod for instituitons of higher education,” he said citing example of IIT, Dhanbad, Central university, defence university, IIM and others.
Criticising politicians of Bihar for focusing on anti-alcohol campaign in Jharkhand, Das said that they should first bring their own house in order. “Bihar is known for corruption in education department as people across country would remember the photographs in which the examinations standard of matriculation was exposed but now the topper scam which has left everyone ashamed,” Das said.
He expressed worry about future of meritorious students of Bihar in the wake of the fact that leaders including CM were focussing on issues of other states at a time when they should have cleared the prevailing muck in education department. “I invite the parents to come to Jharkhand with their wards where Netarhat Vidyalaya, Sainik School Tilaiya and Navodaya Vidyalaya are producing some of the best brains of the country,” he said.
