Lyca Group eyes Klusener, Boje

The Lyca Group, owners of the Coimbatore franchise in the Tamil Nadu Premier League is in talks with South African all-rounders Lance Klusener and Nicky Boje for the role of chief coach of the team.

The team had earlier announced the signing of former TN batsman C. Hemanth Kumar as the coach and TN middle-order batsman R. Prasanna as the assistant coach.

Raju Mahalingam, COO of Lyca Group told The Hindu , “While the TN duo will be in-charge of local talent scouting, we have decided to appoint a foreign coach to give the overall vision for the team.”

Recently, the Lyca group was a sponsor for the Golden Goose Ultimate Sports coaching cricket camp held here in May where the likes of Klusener, Boje, Courtney Walsh came to the city to train young kids and the group hopes to continue its relationship with the former Proteas stars to guide its side in the maiden season of the TNPL.
