Migrant labourer held with 1.5 kg of Marijuana

A 24-year-old man from Murshidabad, West Bengal was arrested with 1.5 kg of ganja from Aluwa railway station.

KOCHI: A 24-year-old man from Murshidabad, West Bengal was arrested with 1.5 kg of ganja from Aluwa railway station.
According to police, the accused, Lelin Sheikh used to buy the drug from West Bengal for Rs 4000 and sell it to a man named Sahib in Kalamaserry for double the price. He used to be a migrant construction labourer. The accused had brought the drug from West Bengal earlier as well and police were on the look-out for him.
Cops received information about the location of the accused and he was arrested from the railway station.
An FIR has been lodged against the accused under the NDPS Act. The accused was presented in court and sent to jail.
