Dumka: The set for Mahesh Bhatt's film 'Begum Jaan' near the Nandna hills in the district's Raneswar block has turned into a fortress leaving no loophole for fans to peek at their favourite stars.
A palatial building has been erected in the foothills of Nandna surrounded by forests, around 10km from the block headquarters. Tight security around the makeshift palace has left enthusiasts disappointed.
The Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah-starrer 'Begum Jaan' is a remake of Bengali film Rajkahini, which was also shot in the same locality. "We saw the shooting of 'Rajkahini' at Nandna. There was not much security then and people were allowed to move around the location," said Adil Ansari, a resident of Raneswar who wanted a glimpse of Balan and Shah but was disheartened.
"The production house had sought our help for providing security for the shooting till July 20 and adequate number of forces have been deployed at the site," said Dumka SP Prabhat Kumar.
