Officials discuss agricultural exports to Gulf

AMMAN — Transport Minister Yahya Kisbi on Saturday met with Jordan Truck Owners Association President Mohammad Dawood and the president of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables, Saadi Abu Hammad, and discussed ways to export Jordanian fruit and vegetables to Gulf markets.
Kisbi, in the presence of Agriculture Minister Rida Khawaldeh, said the transport sector in Jordan is essential for economic development and increasing trade exchange with neighbouring countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Dawood said owners and drivers of cargo trucks face several problems, among which is the difficulty of obtaining visas to enter Gulf countries.
