Devika Ranjan conducts workshop for children

JAMMU, June 25: A scholar from Georgetown University Washington, DC (USA) Devika Ranjan conducted an exclusive workshop for children at the ongoing Natrang’s Children Theatre Camp-2016.
Earlier introducing Devika Ranjan, Director Natrang, Padmashree Balwant Thakur, informed that Devika Ranjan has come all way from Washington to conduct exclusive workshop with Natrang children.
A student of school of Foreign Service Georgetown University Washington, Devika is the President of Foreign Service Academic Council and Deviser/Co-Director of Generation WH(Y) theatre, Doris Luke Foundation. Credited for having received Davis Projects for Peace Fellowship 2016, Lisa J Raines Fellowship-2015, Improving the Human Condition Grant from the School of Foreign Service-2015, First place in It’s not enough to refrain from injustice Symposium-2015, Doyle Engaging Difference Fellowship 2015-16 and International Service Award-2014.
The children at Natrang Theatre Camp-2016 really had the life time opportunity to learn the most latest creative theatre games and exercises developed in USA for the personality exploration and mind development of the children. Through improvisations, theatre games and unique exercises, Devika gave them altogether a new experience of learning which she has acquired while working in USA, Germany, Israel, Nepal and India.
Natrang is organising regular theatre camps for children since the year 1990 and so far has produced 26 new full length children plays during these camps conducted by Balwant Thakur, Neeraj Kant, Anil Tickoo, Sumeet Sharma, Harish Khanna, Sanjeev Gupta and Aarushi Thakur. Over one thousand children have been trained by Natrang in these workshops and majority of them are now accomplished professionals in their respective fields credit Natrang for their personality transformation and excellence in life.
The children who got the opportunity to work with Devika Ranjan included Sanchita Dubey, Sanyam Gupta, Shreya Gupta, Asma Gul, Vedhant Suri, Vaibhav Suri, Rudra Kohli, Kushaan Baliya, Sohi Sharma, Ria Sambyal, Anubhav Sharma, Sumedha Manhas, Aryan Sharma, Saransh Sharma, Shambhavi Sharma, Aashima Gupta, Shivesh Gupta, Gun Sethi, Sarthak Gupta, Yashica Bandral, Aanandita Sethi, Rannvijay Singh Charak, Jaanvika Narchal,Triambak Kapoor, Hardik Dutta, Vrinda Pawar, Aviral Kapoor, Samvedya Gupta, Hardik Gupta, Sparishta Sharma, Shruti Sharma, Satyam Mehra, Ishwari Goswami, Shubhankar Sobani, Karan Sahib Singh and Mrinal Shaminotra.
