Review plea on LI project, says BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy

Reddy alleged large-scale manipulations took place to eliminate competition and entrust the contract to the Navayuga-Meil consortium.

Hyderabad: BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy has moved a petition before the Hyderabad High Court seeking a review of its earlier order dismissing his plea questioning the selection of contractor for the Palamuru Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme.

Dr Reddy alleged large-scale manipulations took place to eliminate competition and entrust the contract to the Navayuga-Meil consortium.

Contending that the adviser to the TS government on irrigation was supposed to approve all projects, Dr Reddy told the court that though the adviser was involved in the process till the preparation of the tender documents, he was later sidelined.

He also alleged that several changes in the eligibility criteria were made even after the bid document was uploaded on the official website of the department.
