Khan murder: Arrest LG, Girri & Tanwar, says AAP

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday demanded the arrest of lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung, BJP MP Maheish Girri and NDMC vice-chairperson Karan Singh Tanwar in M M Khan’s murder case.
AAP members alleged that Jung is trying to influence the investigation as the SHO has been transferred.
Khan’s eldest daughter, Iqra, wrote to police commissioner, Alok Gupta, on Friday requesting that the SHO be reinstated.Referring to her letter, AAP members alleged that Jung was trying to influence the investigation.
“The SHO was removed during the month of Ramzan. Usually, no transfers are done, especially in Okhla, during this period due to law and order concerns,” said Dilip Pandey, Delhi AAP convener.
The party has stepped up its demand for action against the LG ever since a report came out that Jung’s office had forwarded a letter submitted by Girri regarding the Connaught Hotel case to NDMC. Although Girri claimed he had never written nor approached Jung’s office regarding the case, the LG’s office on Thursday confirmed that Girri did submit a letter by the Connaught Hotel owners.
Hinting at a bigger conspiracy, AAP member Ashutosh said that the party will not let the matter die. “It has taken a dangerous turn. It is a matter of Rs 142 crore, which is not a small amount. Instead of protecting an honest man, the Modi government is trying to save the LG, Girri and Tanwar. We will fight till justice is done to Khan’s family,” said Ashutosh.
