Prof Mattoo meets several deputations, highlights Mufti Sayeed’s contribution to JK’s development

The advisor to the chief minister, Prof Amitabh Mattoo today met several deputations from different parts of the state and reaffirmed the Government’s resolve to accelerate the pace of development and also providing the requisite and necessary amenities to them.While interacting with the deputations, the Adviser told them ever since the present government took over the pace of various developmental programmes has been accelerated by ensuring effective monitoring of the same. He said necessary directions have already been passed down the line to ensure time bound completion and also involving the local representatives and people in their implementation thereby making them area specific.

The advisor also highlighted the historic role played by the late chief Minister, Mr. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the state. He said that the contribution of the late leader has no parallels in the annals of history as he contributed immensely in every sphere of life and had made his resolve to see that the state comes up as the model states of the country. “He committed his whole life to the welfare and betterment  of  Jammu and Kashmir, which can be gauged by the fact that inspite of his ill health he would extensively travel through the state to get the first hand information about the problems of the people and take the corrective measures himself,”Prof Mattoo said that the younger generation should be made aware of the contribution of this great leader whose impeccable honesty in every sphere of life has even been acknowledged by his political opponents and detractors as well. He further said that present chief minister would carry on the legacy of his father so that a new era of peace and prosperity dawns in the state.
