Heavy rain caused an early abandonment of play on the third day of the BMW International Open in Cologne with the leaders yet to begin their third rounds.
Play was suspended at noon local time when the heavens opened, and the third round was abandoned for the day four hours later with the Golf Club Gut Laerchenhof course severely waterlogged.
Organisers remain hopeful of completing the tournament on Sunday evening despite there being 20 players who have yet to start their third rounds, with play resuming at 0730 in the morning.
In the little action that was possible on Saturday, David Horsey and YE Yang were the significant movers as both rose 39 places up the leaderboard.
Horsey was four under for the day after 14 holes, including three straight birdies from the seventh and an eagle at the 13th which lifted him to five under for the tournament - six adrift of joint leaders Henrik Stenson, Raphael Jacquelin and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
Former PGA champion Yang was also five under after he picked up three shots in four holes on the front nine and added another birdie to his flawless card at the 13th moments before play was halted.
Frenchman Clement Berardo was the on-course leader at six under after he made two birdies in the four holes he completed.
A statement from the European Tour read: "Play will recommence at 7.30am on Sunday morning with the final group going out at 8.42am and the final round then getting under way at 9.30am.
"The players will go out in the same order as in round three but this time in three-balls, with the final group of Stenson, Jacquelin and Apjhibarnrat hitting the final tee-shots off the first at 1.30pm."
