Cell phone found near gangster's cell in Kalyan

KALYAN: A mobile phone was found from backside of the cell in the Adharwadi prison in Kalyan on Friday evening.
The cell phone was found without sim card on Monday from backside of circle number 9 of prison, where gangster Devendra Jagtap alias JD is lodge in seperate cell, from whose cell this month, on June 6, a mobile phone along with sim card was found.
Khadakpada police probing case said that jail officials Dhanaji Hulgude and B D Hulgude both were inspecting the cell when they checked behined circle number 9 of cell where they found a samsung mobile phone.
Police said mobile has been found without was sim card and its IEMI number has been scratched.
An officials probing case said that they are checking if cell phone was brought for gangster J D from whose cell recently mobile was found.
A case under relevant sections of the Prison Rules and Maharashtra Prison Discipline Rules and Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC has been registered at the Khadakpada police station, police said, adding investigations are underway.
