New Sonepat-Jind railway line to be dedicated to nation on Jun 26

Chandigarh, Jun 25 (UNI) An 81-km long new railway line between Sonepat and Jind will be dedicated to the nation and a passenger train between these two stations would be flagged off by Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu on June 26.
Stating this here today, a Haryana government spokesman said that Mr Prabhu will also launch a number of other passenger-centric projects from Chandigarh Railway Station through video conferencing the same day. He will be accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at Chandigarh Railway Station while Union Rural Development Minister Birender Singh will be present at Sonepat Railway Station.
He said that running of passenger train between these important cities would also connect several hinterland villages and urban clusters with 13 railway stations, of which 10 will be new railway stations.
