Chandrababu Naidu hands over plots to farmers in Amaravathi region

Vijayawada, June 25 (UNI) Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu handed over plots to the farmers, who parted with their lands voluntarily for the construction of new state capital Amaravathi.
At a programme, held at Nelapadu village, about 25 km from here in Guntur district today, the Chief Minister handed over plots to the farmers. He handed over the first document of allocating plot to a woman landlord K Adilakshmi. The Chief Minister said 33,000 acres of land was acquired under Land Pooling Act and the farmers parted with their land voluntarily.
The Chief Minister warned of acquiring the lands of other farmers, who did not part with their land voluntarily, under "Land Acquirement Act", in which "no incentives" would be offered. He appealed the farmers to part with their lands even now voluntarily for the construction of the Capital city. He slammed that the Opposition party incited and misled the farmers not to part with their land voluntarily for the construction of the capital city.
