Attention Potter fans! Eddie Redmayne opens up about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
The next film in the Harry Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be released in November, and in anticipation of the film both Eddie Redmayne and JK Rowling have chatted about the story, giving fans an insight into what they can expect.

In the video Jo, who wrote the screenplay for the upcoming film, says: "My heroes are always people who feel themselves to be set apart, stigmatised or "othered." That's at the heart of most of what I write, and it's certainly at the heart of this movie.
Eddie opened up about the film
Giving some background information about the film, which will be set in 1920s New York, Jo said: "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a textbook that Harry Potter used at school. While I was writing Potter I became quite interested in Newt Scamander. So I knew quite a lot about Newt. He's been travelling the world studying magical creatures. He calls himself a magizoologist."
Eddie, who plays the lead role of Newt Scamander, revealed that Newt is something of an introvert, saying: "He feels more at home with creatures than he does with human beings."
The featurette includes clips from the film, and gives an insight into Newt's adventure. Jo said: "Newt walks into a society he doesn't really understand…[he] gets embroiled in this adventure," to which Eddie concluded: "he starts to look more like the hero."
The Danish Girl star has previously spoken about how he was desperate for a part in the original films. Speaking to IGN, he said: "For years I was always like, in the Harry Potter films, there was a whole ginger family, and I never got an audition. And I was like, come on, it's outrageous! Every actor in England was in the Harry Potter films, but I never got the call."
