Jaisalmer,Jun 25(UNI)Some moffusil towns and villages of Rajasthan including a few from Barmer and Jaisalmer districts give a beautiful picture of unity and love between the two communities.They portray a picture where the festivals are celebrated in the same spirit.Muslims celebrate Diwali with the same gaiety as Hindus celebrate Id…This practice has been followed since decades.
The Hindus of the area also keep five rozas (Fast) as a matter of respect to their different community neighbours.Many Hindus also observe complete Rozas during the Ramadan..The Muslims are also not far behind and celebrate the Hindu festivals with singing Bhajans sharing the same enthusiasm.
After Partition, many Hindu families arrived to these villages from Sindh which is now in Pakistan. The majority of Hindu people belonging to these villages have faith for Peer Pithoro, whose dargah is in Sindh.People who have faith in Peer Pithoro specially keep all the rozas during Ramadan.
