Noida: The residents of Noida are likely to face power disruptions from 5 am to 11 am on Saturday as a six-hour maintenance shutdown is scheduled on the 400 kV Dadri-Greater Noida line.
According to UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited, the city will face a shortage of 600-700 MW, though adequate arrangements have been made by the authorities.

"The said maintenance work is scheduled by the central power grid on the Dadri-Greater Noida line," said Mohammad Ishaq, executive engineer, Noida power department. "We have made arrangements to get nearly 600 MW supply from Nawada in Haryana and another 200 MW from Sahibabad. This should take care of the morning load which normally ranges between 600 and 700 MW," said Ishaq.
"We expect the supply from Nawada and Sahibabad to be sufficient to cater to the shortage. But in case it falls short of demand, then we will resort to light and fan rostering with short intervals across sectors," said Ishaq. In Greater Noida, the Noida Power Company Limited will be imposing restrictions. "Restrictions will be imposed based on actual availability," said Arun Asheesh, spokesperson, NPCL operations.
Earlier on June 15 too, an eight-hour maintenance shutdown was scheduled on the 400 Kv Dadri-Greater Noida line.
