PMPML bus fatally knocks down man

Pune: A 25-year-old man died while his friend was injured as the motorcycle they were travelling in was hit by a PMPML bus at Puram Chowk on Tilak Road around 5.30pm on Friday.
Police identified the deceased as Suhang Suhas Bhunge (25) from Karad in Satara district. He was a resident of Karve Road. His friend Abhijit Ramchandra Aminbhavi (24) from Sangli is being treated at Sassoon General Hospital.His condition is said to be stable.
Assistant inspector Prakash More of the Swargate police station said, "The impact of the accident was such that Bhunge came under the right side rear wheel of the bus, and died instantly. The accident took place on a busy chowk. We will check CCTV cameras to ascertain how the accident took place. We have taken the bus driver into custody."
