According to rumors it looks like the launch for the new Microsoft Surface Pro has been delayed until next year.

The cause for the delay are the production delays in Intel's mass production of the upcoming Kaby Lake generation of processors.

International Business Times reported that the delay may also have been caused by Microsoft attempting to release of the tablet Windows 10 Redstone 2 together with the tablet.

The last version of the device, Surface Pro 4, was released last year and it had good reviews from fans. The latest reports shows that Surface Pro 5 will be equipped with special glass display protector. As reported by the Times of India, the Surface Pro 5 will have a high-resolution IPS Corning Gorilla glass protected display.

In terms of pricing , $750 base price going up all the way to $1,200-$1,400 is expected which is reasonable and close to its predecessor's pricing plan.

Newer device is expected to arrive with Nvidia Pascal or AMD Polaris GPUs that can run games well.

Lastly, other featuresinclude 16 MP primary camera and an 8 MP selfie snapper with longer battery life and more efficient power management, a slimmer and lighter profile, and RAM capacity that goes as high as 16GB.
