Role of Home Guards praised

K. Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, said on Friday that Home Guards played a vital in cooperating with the police in maintaining law and order. He was speaking at a meeting of officers of Home Guards, here.

Mr. Annamalai said that Home Guards discharged their duties with as much sincerity as the police.

Hence all efforts should be put in to see that they got maximum possible facilities from the government.

He would also try to ensure maximum coordination between the officers of the police department and those of the Home Guards, Mr. Annamalai said.

K. Prashanth Shetty, District Commandant of Home Guards, Rajesh K.C., Second-in-Command, Ramesh, District Deputy Commandant, Kumaraswamy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, were present at the meeting.
