Flesh trade racket busted in Solan

SOLAN: The Nalagarh police today nabbed 9 girls and 3 women pimps involved in flesh trade from two hotels located on the Nalagarh-Swarghat and Nalagarh-Bharatgarh roads in a raid conducted this afternoon.

The Nalagarh police today nabbed 9 girls and 3 women pimps involved in flesh trade from two hotels located on the Nalagarh-Swarghat and Nalagarh-Bharatgarh roads in a raid conducted this afternoon. DSP Nalagarh Sahil Arora while confirming the news said they had received secret information that such nefarious activities were underway at the two hotels.

He said the girls nabbed from the hotels hailed from Delhi, Chandigarh, Himachal, Bihar and Ludhiana while the three pimps hailed from Delhi, Ludhiana and Chandigarh.

Superintendent of Police, Baddi, Basher Singh said the three pimps, Gurmeet from Delhi, Lata from Ludhiana and Anjali from Chandigarh, had brought the nine girls, all of whom were married and were in the age group of 20-30 years. He said Gurmeet had confessed to have come to the area earlier too.

As per preliminary investigations, hotel staff was also found involved in this nefarious trade and they used to invite customers after calling these girls. The managers of the two hotels, Jeet Ram and Anuj Singh, used to pocket Rs 200 from the Rs 500, which each girl earned from one customer.

It was also being investigated whether the girls had come to this area earlier too. Some cash was also seized from their possession.

A case under various sections of the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act has been registered against the two hotel managers, the three pimps and the nine girls. Further investigation was underway.
