Fifteen passengers were injured when a minibus skidded and rolled down a slope in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district today.

The incident happened at around 8 am when the mini bus was on its way from Chinta village to Bhadarwah, It skidded off the road near Chinchora on the Bhaderwah-Jai road, injuring 15 passengers, including two critically.

Station House Officer Anroop Sharma said, “Fifteen persons have been injured in the accident. They have been shifted to Sub-district Hospital at Bhaderwah for treatment by rescue teams of the police and district administration.”

“The police rushed to the spot and rescued all passengers from the ill-fated vehicle with the help of locals. Two seriously injured persons are likely to be shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for further treatment,” he added. The police have registered a case at the Bhaderwah police station.
