DEHRADUN: Residents of Anarwala and the Naya Gaon area of Dehradun yesterday met Regional Transport Officer Sudhanshu Garg and sought starting of public transport in the region.

Dehradun, June 24

Residents of Anarwala and the Naya Gaon area of Dehradun yesterday met Regional Transport Officer Sudhanshu Garg and sought starting of public transport in the region.

Residents, led by senior BJP leader Sushila Baloni, alleged that due to poor public transport facilities in Anarwala and Naya Gaon, people were facing a lot of inconvenience. They said old people suffer the most as they have to travel long distances to reach Dehradun city. The Regional Transport Officer assured them to look into the issue.

Raj Kumar Jaiswal, Shyam Khatri and Madan Thapa were part of the delegation that met the RTO.
