VP’s office as action, complaint center

02:04 AM June 25, 2016

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has announced that Vice President-elect Leni Robredo will not be given a Cabinet post.

If that happens, Vice President-elect Robredo can use her office as a complaint and action center, where citizens can bring complaints and grievances against government bureaucrats or agencies that fail to act promptly and/or satisfactorily on matters brought before them. The Office of the Vice President can then bring these concerns to the attention of the concerned agencies and seek the attention of the trimedia to pressure the agencies to act accordingly, with dispatch, on the complaints.

With her office serving as a complaint and action center, Vice President-elect Robredo will be performing the role of a mother to complaining citizens in fulfillment of her campaign promise. The

program will surely keep the Office of the Vice President busy while keeping it in the limelight.
