Tax payers motivated to declare concealed income

KARNAL: To motivate the tax payers to declare their concealed income under the Income Declaration Scheme, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Vandana Mohite held a meeting with businessmen of the district at Aayakar Bhawan today.

Karnal, June 24

To motivate the tax payers to declare their concealed income under the Income Declaration Scheme, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Vandana Mohite held a meeting with businessmen of the district at Aayakar Bhawan today.

She urged them to declare their undisclosed investment by September 30 to get benefits. “It is an opportunity for the public to pay tax at the rate of 45 per cent on the value of undisclosed investment,” she said.

“A certificate will be issued by the Principal Commissioner when a person declares an undisclosed investment.

The information will be kept confidential and no further inquiry regarding the declaration will be made,” said Girish Kohli, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax.
