The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said here today that the registration of a case by the CBI against Congress-turned-Akali MLA Jeet Mohinder Sidhu and Fastway MD Gurdeep Singh in a multi-crore scam had exposed the ‘nexus’ between Sukhbir Badal and Capt Amarinder Singh.
“Sidhu switched over to the SAD and got re-elected under a secret pact between Sukhbir and Amarinder,” AAP MP Bhagwant Mann said.
“As Amarinder wanted to destabilise the then PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa, he made his loyalist (Sidhu) quit the Congress,” Mann claimed.
He alleged that Gurdeep was running the ‘cable mafia’ in the state under Sukhbir’s patronage.
