Skill India will convert job seekers into job givers: Rajasthan Empowerment Minister Chaturvedi

Chaturvedi was speaking at the inauguration of ‘Podar Skills’, a vocational training unit set up by the Anandilal Podar Trust.

Imparting skill training to the youth will not only increase employment opportunities but will also convert job seekers into job givers, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Arun Chaturvedi said here on Friday.

Chaturvedi was speaking at the inauguration of ‘Podar Skills’, a vocational training unit set up by the Anandilal Podar Trust.

The cost of this training programme will be borne by RSLDC – Rajasthan Skills and Livelihood Development Corporation – which is aimed at providing the youth with free vocational studies. Chaturvedi further said the population of our country is an advantage and not a challenge. The human resource will cease to be a hindrance when it is utilised to its full potential as a ‘skilled workforce’.

The centre will run job-linked skill training programmes in healthcare and information technology sector and has a capacity of training 180 candidates at a time.

Successful candidates will also get certificate at the end of the programme which will help them find employment.

Festive offer

The Anandilal Podar Trust was set up in 1921 and works closely with the government to provide free of cost, job oriented training. The trust has established 37 institutions so far in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

MLA Mohan Lal Gupta was the guest of honour at the occasion.
